Overview

In 2023, the air of Lviv region from stationary sources of emissions of enterprises, institutions and organizations received 57,9 thousand tonnes of pollutants, which is 23,9% less than in 2022. In addition, carbon dioxide emissions amounted to 2208,3 thousand tonnes (25,5% more than in 2022).
On average, 2,7 tonnes of pollutants were emitted from stationary emission sources per 1 km2 of the region's territory.
During 2023 in region about 2,8 million tons of waste was generated, which was average 129,7 tons per 1 km2 of the region's territory.
