Overview

According to the prosecutor's office, in 2023, 20,3 thousand criminal offenses were registered in Lviv region, which is 32,9% more than in 2022.
In 2023, 6270 persons were found to have committed a criminal offense, which is 24,0% more than in 2022. Among them, 13,5% were previously on a criminal path, 1,0% were minors, 61,3% were persons aged 18-39.
The number of victims of crimes increased by 53,0% compared to 2022 and in 2023 amounted to 10,7 thousand people. The biggest number (60,7% of the total) was from grievous and especially grievous crimes. Almost two-thirds of the victims are men.
4961 people were prosecuted by court verdicts (by 26,5% more than in 2022).
