Overview

  • Industry creates the fifth and largest part of the gross value added of the region.
  • Industrial enterprises make 14,5% of the total number of enterprises in the region. Almost 30% of sales are accounted for by industry. In 2020, 112,9 thous. people were employed in industry, three quarters of who were in the processing – manufacturing industry.
  • In 2020, compared to 2019, the volume of production in the industry of the region increased by 5,4%, and by 22,4% compared to 2010.
