The World Day for Decent Work


Every year on October 7, the World Day for Decent Work is marked.

The number of full-time employees of enterprises in Lviv region employing 10 or more people in 2021 amounted to 447.4 thousand people, more than half (53.4%) of which are women.
The average monthly nominal salary of full-time employees in 2021 was UAH 12530, which is 1.9 times higher than the minimum salary (UAH 6500). Employees received an average of UAH 92 per hour of work.
The salary in Lviv region is 10.6% lower than the average in Ukraine, by this indicator the region ranked 9th among the regions.
In 2021, nominal wages increased by 21.7% compared to 2020, and by 3.4 times compared to 2015, but real wages grew at a slower pace - by 11.6% and 2 times, respectively.
The highest paid in 2021 were employees of financial and insurance activities, who received UAH 20600, in the production of chemicals and chemical products - UAH 20200, public administration - UAH 19000.
The lowest salaries were received by employees of temporary accommodation and catering enterprises - UAH 6700, who carried out activities in the field of administrative and auxiliary services - UAH 9500.
Women's salaries in 2021 were on average 15% lower than the corresponding figure for men (in 2015 - by 22.8%). Women earned an average of UAH 11600, men - UAH 13600.
Among the employees who were paid 50% or more of the working time established for December 2021, 14.1% had accruals within the minimum wage, 32.1% - from 6500 to 10000 UA.
